This is such a fun social media strategy by Donnelyn Curtis, director of the University of Nevada’s research collections.
She uses Facebook profiles to give reincarnated lives online to students from the 1910s, Leola Lewis (the photo above is taken from her profile) and Joe McDonald.
(UPDATE: Unfortunately, as could be predicted, the profiles have been taken down, even if there is definitely much potential in this kind of thinking - see end of this post)
I like it when companies – such as Mailiac.com - promote efficient, green communication/meetings, which they can thus also brand themselves on. Using Skype for professional meetings can cut down on transportation and therefore also on both pollution and expenses.
Two sites, still in Beta, provide a quick and excellent overview of bike lanes. Cyclecopenhagen.dk details the quickest, greenest, safest or quietest route directions (which you can print) to your destination in Copenhagen. Cyclistic.dk provides touristic points of interest on a larger country scale.
Or go old school and download Copenhagen City’s Cycling Map Copenhagen PDF and save it on your smartphone for offline use. A print version can be picked up at the tourist information.
